BTEC LEVEL 2 FOR CCTV (PUBLIC SPACES SURVEILLANCE)

Introduction
This course is part of the popular and expanding range of entry-level training and qualifications for specific roles within the security industry. Bluewings trainers can deliver this four-day Basic Job Training (BJT)

Who Will Benefit?
This BJT is appropriate to new entrants to the industry; people transferring from other security functions, as well as those whose job includes public spaces surveillance.  

Course Content
Knowledge and practical based training and assessment (30 hours)

• Role and responsibilities of CCTV operator and other CCTV staff
• Codes of practice, operational procedures and guidelines
• CCTV equipment and its operation
• Control room communications and access control
• Legislation
• Dealing with incidents
• Surveillance techniques
• Fire and emergency procedures
• Health and safety

Course Outcomes
On completion of this course, candidates will have achieved the required level of knowledge and understanding in the areas listed in the modules above, to enable certification.

Assessment
the assessment is by way of multiple choice examination and practical exercise which is assessed.

General Information
On completion of the course and assessment, successful delegates will be awarded the BTEC Level 2Certficate in CCTV Operations
