Course Content

Part 1 – Roles & Responsibilities – 15hrs
The course contains thirteen modules, covering the following topics:

Equal Opportunities
Civil and Criminal Law
Arrest
Licensing Law
Searching
Health and Safety at Work
Drugs Awareness
Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation
Emergency Procedures

Part 2 – Communication & Conflict management – 15 hrs

Avoiding Conflict
Defusing Conflict
Resolving Conflict
Managing Conflict


Course Outcomes
On completion of this course, candidates will have achieved the required level of knowledge and understanding in the areas listed in the modules above.

Assessment
Examination is by two externally set multiple-choice papers. The Awarding Body for the qualification resulting from this examination is BTEC EDEXCEL.

General Information

The course is delivered via tutor presentations, group discussions and role-play scenarios. Certification upon successful completion of the course takes approximately three to four weeks.
